Round One, Framing Your Perspective & Where Are Your Best Friends At?

Claudia's Digest #014

Howdy y'all, Claudia here.

Will keep it short and sweet today, because I got sick (yup, it's that time again!!), and because of that, thinking, writing & staring at the screen are now harder than usual.

Despite that…

Let's dive in ↓

WIN OF THE WEEK
Round One…

I completed the first round of my 4-week experiment to publish 3 weekly podcast episodes - 2 solo & 1 interview.

So far focused more on building momentum over anything else, but already been getting some cool feedback.

Check out this week’s episodes here:

3 HIGH-IMPACT IDEAS
1) On Finding Your Life’s Work

Instead of asking yourself "What should I do with my life?", here are two [better] questions to ask yourself that'll give you much clearer direction:

  1. What is something you're already doing daily, and how can you start doing it so it becomes useful to other people?

  2. What is something (a project/passion) you want to pursue badly, and how can you bring others along the line?

Examples:

Maybe you're journaling every single day to gain clarity on things you're struggling with.

Why not publish your insights?

Or maybe you'd love to learn a high-income skill (such as graphic design).

Why not learn in public by sharing your progress on social media?

The best business idea is nothing but an extension of who you already are.

2) On Writing Online

“You radically underestimate both a) how much you know that other people do not and b) the instrumental benefits to you of publishing it."

Patrick McKenzie

Publish the half-baked idea that's on your mind.

Worst case scenario?

Nobody will care about you.

Best case scenario?

You improve your thinking. You create an online portfolio for companies to hire you. You shift someone's perspective. You create an asset to attract people who think the same way you do.

The upside's too high not to share your thoughts & curiosities with the world.

3) On Framing Your Perspective

"Nothing is either good or bad. It's all a matter of perspective."

That's a cool way of thinking.

But here's a little reframe:

Stop putting any labels. At all.

Instead, keep an open mind, and let the thing that happened frame the perspective itself.

For every situation that happens, ask yourself:

"How did this improve my view on life for the better?"

I wish I could send a message to our kid selves: “you are not alone… it just happens that your brain-mates are distributed across the planet, lol, sorry”
